Meditation from Fr. Georges R. Bidzogo sac (Do you have a reason to believe in God)
“He laid the foundations of the earth” (Ps102:25)
My Faith is not blind and I thought before it was. Even when I feel so down, so desperate, so sick, there is always a reason for me to believe, to trust cling unto God who formed me from the dust of the ground and breathed life in me (Gen2:7). Do you have solid reasons why you are a Christian today? Why do you believe in the God who revealed himself through his Son, Jesus Christ? Do you ever have any reason to believe in God? Yes, I do. “In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands” (Ps102:25). Yes is the designer; he one who put all things that exist in to order. I praise and give him thanks. What about you? When I know that Jesus truly existed and came into this world and died for me “God so loved the that he gave his only begotten Son so that whoever believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life” (John 3:16). Jesus took my flesh (John 1:1). “The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us”. He was crucified and died for our transgressions; he rose from the grave. He appeared to hundred of people. With Him there is new life. Through the Holy Spirit I’m every time in relationship with the Holy Trinity. My Faith in God and in the new possibilities that he offers cannot be shaken. What about you? If then you do not believe in God what is your alternative? What is your better option? There seems to be none. And there will never be any. Open your hand praise God the great I AM. May he command his thousands of angels to minister to you tonight in Jesus mighty name!
