Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew (Mt 5, 43-48)

At that time, Jesus said to his disciples, “You have learned that it was said: You will love your neighbor and you will hate your enemy. Well ! I say to you: Love your enemies,
and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may truly be the sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the wicked and on the good, he causes the rain to fall on the just and the unjust. Indeed, if you love those who love you, what reward do you deserve? Are not the tax collectors doing the same? And if you only greet your brothers, what are you doing extraordinary? Do not the pagans themselves do the same?
You therefore will be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect. “
