Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark (Mk 12, 18-27)

At that time, Sadducees – those who claim that there is no resurrection –
came to find Jesus. They asked him, “Master, Moses commanded us: If a man has a brother who dies leaving a woman, but no children, he must marry the widow to bring about descendants for his brother. There were seven brothers; the first married, and died without leaving any descendants. The second married the widow, and died without leaving any descendants. The third similarly. And none of the seven left offspring.
And last, after all of them, the woman also died. At the resurrection, when they rise, which of them will she be his wife, since the seven had him as his wife? Jesus said to them, “Are you not going astray, ignoring the scriptures and the power of God? When you rise from the dead, you take neither wife nor husband, but you are like the angels in heaven. And the fact that the dead are raised,
have you not read in the book of Moses, in the story of the burning bush, how God said to him:
I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You get completely lost. “
